Visiting an old woman

one of the oldest inhabitants

Her father participating in the Maji Maji War against the Germans in beginning of the twentieth century,
she could tell a lot about her history and the history of the whole region

staying in this small house next to her middle aged children, one of the only houses
not made out of burned bricks in the village

here (to the left) she is, together with daughter (in law) and two great-grand children

 visiting a close-by, same-aged blind old woman

I always enjoyed being together with her (here on the right), talkative as she is
 - even sometimes forgetting that I am not fluent
 in the local Ngoni language!
