Idar, totally ready for a bush ride! Here with Henrik's other bike, as Idar's bike is at the garage to get the piston rings changed
Idar on the Baja 250. You don't need a 600 to show off! |
A fantastic new route from Bagamoyo to Chalinze we found that day. Henrik
As we approach Chalinze, the landscape became more open. Henrik
Also some mud... Idar makes Henrik's bike dirty |
Then a stretch looking like a fairytale land. Henrik

Idar on the fairytale like track
Idar took this picture thinking that Henrik would hit the tree! |
|
A nice hill for trying out the muscles of Henrik's 600 |
Watch your head, Idar! | |
Closing up to Chalinze still beautiful. Idar
Don't go through the cow s...! Henrik |
Some frightened cows ran away after they nearly got hit by two bikers. We were indeed riding in the Massai land, however, for some reason we mainly saw their cows. Idar |
|
Henrik is relaxing a few kilometers on the tarmac before crossing it to go on a cow's track the last stretch towards Chalinze |
Tank leaking! Just
fix with 'Super glue' and a piece of metal.
Taking the cow's tracks, close to the power lines, south of the tarmac road, on the way to Mdaula. Henrik
Idar trying to avoid a piece of cow shit that Henrik had planned -- by standing there with the camera -- Idar should go through! |
| A local
'fundi' welded it together with a piece of plastic
Unique tank now! And it worked!!!
|
A short stop in the bush between Mdaula and Lubaya
Henrik is checking the direction on the GPS (aiming at going north in the bush till having Lugoba in a west angle, which we had a already waypoint for)
Here at Lubaya village. We asked for the direction and made a waypoint on the GPS... and made some entertainment for the local people. Henrik |
